A1.9. WHAT WILL BE THE BENEFITS TO CANADA
FOR ACHIEVING FULL EMPLOYMENT?
Again, the comments
below apply as much to the NCR in particular as to Canada as a whole.
-
Reduction or even
elimination of social unrest
-
Full employment means
optimal tax revenue production, based on everybody contributing who wants and/or
needs to work
-
Less money needed for
social programs relative to tax revenues produced, because the need for social
programs will be less - based on everybody who wants / needs / a job actually having
one, meaning (a) as many hours of work as desired and (b) hourly earnings
commensurate with education and qualifications.
-
Less money needed for
social programs relative to available tax revenues will free up resources for
other publicly funded programs such as health care, education, national
defence, natural disaster relief, postal services etc.
